Seek And Destroyed

I wanted to find everything I could about the original Seek And Destroy game. There are small tidbits of information in game files, and of course there is very nice CREDITS screen in the actual game with names of developers. Also the internet archive has some gems like the original game page, and even a playable version of the game. Screenshots on the original game page are very interesting, as they show alternate skins of player vehicles. Check it out:

Still I wanted to find more. But it seems like the game is mostly forgotten, and there is not much information about it at all. Few youtube videos feature gameplay, but they are not very informative. I almost gave up at this point, but then I started to read comments on the youtube videos. Something I usually really try to avoid as most of the time you can feel your IQ dropping just by looking at them. And I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a comment from a person who actually worked on the game. And not just worked on it, but was the main developer! The guy is Aaron Koolen and you can find the video here. Unfortunately, there is also a sad part to this story. It seems like all the original source code and assets for the game were lost in a flood.

So the original game is more like Seek And Destroyed, than Seek And Destroy.
